Built by a YouTuber, for YouTubers
I'm not a designer. I'm a CS student who ran into the same problem you probably have: making thumbnails was eating up hours I should've been spending on content.
The Problem
As a YouTuber, I knew thumbnails were critical. But every single one was a headache:
- Spending 2-3 hours in Photoshop for one thumbnail
- Hiring designers was expensive and slow
- Generic AI tools created terrible results that looked nothing like YouTube thumbnails
- I just wanted to make videos, not become a graphic designer
So I Built Stumbnail
I started working on Stumbnail in late 2024. The goal was simple: make it stupidly easy to create good thumbnails without design skills or burning through your budget.
No fluff. No "revolutionary AI technology" marketing nonsense. Just a tool that works.
What Actually Makes Us Different
Multiple AI Models in One Place
We give you access to Google Imagen, Recraft, and other top AI models — all in one platform. Different models excel at different styles, so you're not stuck with one option.
Fine-Tuned for Thumbnails
Generic AI image generators don't understand YouTube thumbnails. We built our system specifically for this use case — the prompts, the output, everything is optimized for thumbnails.
Actually Affordable
Other AI thumbnail tools charge $30-50/month. We're way cheaper because we're not trying to be a "premium enterprise solution." We're just trying to help creators like you.
Who Am I?
I'm Ahmad, a Computer Science student and long-time YouTuber. I'm running Stumbnail solo because I built it to solve my own problem first.
I know what it's like to struggle with thumbnails because I lived it. That's why Stumbnail exists — to help creators who are stuck exactly where I was.
Where We're Going
Right now, Stumbnail is an AI thumbnail generator. But the long-term vision is bigger: I want to turn this into a marketplace for thumbnails.
Imagine being able to browse templates, hire designers, or use AI — all in one place. A one-stop shop for everything thumbnail-related. That's the goal.
If you're a YouTuber struggling with thumbnails, give it a shot
No contracts, no commitments. Just a tool that might save you a few hours each week.
